The City of Whittier is hiring 3-4 motivated youth (ages 14–17) to serve as members of the Youth Litter Patrol (YLP) as part of the ALPAR initiative. This temporary summer position offers a great opportunity to earn money, build job skills, and make a difference in the local environment. YLP members work together to collect litter and help beautify streets, parks, trails, and the Head of the Bay area—enhancing the community while learning about environmental responsibility. YLP members will work up to eight hours each week during the summer season.
