Join our Emergency Medical Services team in Whittier, Alaska, and make a meaningful impact in a one-of-a-kind seasonal setting. As a Seasonal Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you’ll provide frontline medical care and emergency transport services during Whittier’s busiest months, typically from May through September. This role is critical in supporting the community during peak tourism season, especially when cruise ships are in port and call volume increases.
You’ll work under the general supervision of the Fire/EMS Chief and must be able to think quickly, apply medical protocols accurately, and respond compassionately and effectively to a wide range of emergency situations. This position requires reliable response times: within 5 minutes while on duty and within 30 minutes while off duty. Applicants are responsible for their own transportation to Whittier.
